This study is entitled Deixis in the Discourse on Sportainment Rubric in the January
2019 Radar Banyumas Newspaper. This study aims to describe the type of deixis
contained in the Sportainmen rubric discourse in the Radar Banyumas newspaper in
the January 2019 Edition. This study is a qualitative descriptive study. The data from
this research is the discourse contained in the Sportainmen rubric. The data source of
this research is the Sportainment rubric as the primary data source, the January 2019
edition of the Radar Banyumas newspaper is a secondary data source. The method
used to provide data is the method of referring to the method of Free-See Concerned
(SBLC). The method used in analyzing the data is to use the method of sharing with
the replace technique and the method of matching with the basic technique of PUP
with the power of refraction. The presentation stage of the analysis uses informal
presentation. The results of this study indicate that there are five types of deixis
contained in the discourse on the Sportainment rubric in the January 2019 Radar
Banyumas newspaper. There are five types of deixis found in the Sportainment rubric
discourse, namely five persona deixis, time deixis, place deixis, discourse deixis and
social deixis. . Based on this research, it can be concluded that the more deiksis type is
time deixis.
