Abstract

MT. Haryono Street of Purbalingga is a connecting highway between Purbalingga
City and Purwokerto City in the form the four-lane two-way divided (4/2 D) roadway
which is a mainstay for the Purbalingga society in carrying out activities both in
education and economic. By being street that Purbalingga society always rely on to
do activities, so research study is needed to find out the effectiveness of the lane
width to traffic capacity on MT. Hharyono Street in the current year (2019) for the
next 5 years (2024). The method used in this study is traffic survey method to obtain
traffic flow, capacity, and degree of saturation with reference to the Indonesian
Highway Capacity Manual (IHCM) in 1997. From the results of the study, the 7
meters lane width in 2019 on the west direction is obtained (Q) 530, (C) 1,427, and
(DS) 0.37 while for the next 5 years analysis on the 7 meters lane width on the west
direction is obtained (Q ) 645, (C) 1,578, and (DS) 0.41 while the 7 meters lane width
in 2019 on the east direction is obtained (Q) 591, (C) 1,427, and (DS) 0.41 then for
the analysis of the next 5 years the 7 meters lane width on the east direction is
obtained (Q) 719, (C) 1,578, and (DS) 0.46. From these results is obtained the
effective lane width on MT. Haryono Street in 2019 is 7 meters and in 2024 is 7
meters.
