Abstract
The media is a media alternative hidrogel planting for cultivation without the use of soil media. Hidrogel planting media created with the addition of a filler natural fiber banana stems. Utilization of banana stalk fiber as a filler very potential because they contain the cellulose as much as 62.75%. The addition of fillers can improve the structure of hidrogel, nature had engineer increased, reducing the pore diameter and as nutrients a plant. The planting medium making method using mixing hidrogel and dried at a temperature of 45oC for 2 days. The main ingredient of the planting medium used in the form of hidrogel waste diapers and nano fibers banana stems as the amplifier. Variation of the concentration of nano fibers added is 0%, 1%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%. Characterization of the planting medium hidrogel done with test morphology test plant growth. Research results showed the surface density of the structure have diapers that are good, it can be seen from the results of the test and the results of SEM growth at concentrations of 10% growth of mung bean seeds can grow properly, so that the measured kinetic rate constants Higuchi equation method and order zero. The results obtained is the value of R2 = 0.9762 Higuchi model of closer to nailai than 1 R2= 0.9342 at order scratch.
