Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of critical thinking enhancement
using Problem Based Learning model on the learning outcomes of grade X
MAN 2 Banyumas. The quasi-Experimental method was used with Post-test
Only Control Group Design. The population in the research was all students
of grade X of MIPA class. This research used cluster random sampling
which resulted in grade X of MIPA 2 class as the experimental class and
grade X of MIPA 1 class as the control class. To determine the correlation
between critical thinking skills and learning outcomes, the data were
analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The result
shows that the ability to think critically has a significant effect on learning
outcomes with varying levels. To measure the learning outcomes, a written
test was conducted in the form of a Post-test. The post-test mean score of the
experimental class was higher than the control class with the average score
of the experimental class reaches 78.53 while the control class is 65.39.
Based on the results it can be concluded that critical thinking enhancement
through Problem Based Learning model has a significant effect on the
learning outcomes of grade X of MAN 2 Banyumas.
