The study aimed to describe the mathematical creative thinking and self efficacy viewed from students gender of grade VIII in SMP Negeri 1 Baturraden. This study implemented a qualitative method through Miles and Huberman models which covered data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The subjects in this study were students of grade VIII G obtained by purposive sampling. Students were grouped by gender, male students and female students. Each grouped was selected 3 student for interviews. Data collection techniques were self efficacy questionnaires, tests of mathematical creative thinking skills, interviews, and documentation. Based on the findings, it can be drawn that female students grasped the aspects of fluent thinking, flexible thinking, detailed thinking and original thinking. While male students mastered the aspects of fluent thinking, flexible thinking and original thinking rather than detailed thinking aspects. Self-efficacy of male obtained good confidence in the dimensions of level, strength and generality. Whereas, females have confidence in the level and strength dimensions only.
