Abstract

The development of malware as a malicious program that includes Computer Viruses, Trojan Horse, surveillance devices (spyware), adware (adware) is not honest, malware (crimeware) growing fast. Malware is made intentionally inserted on an android system to steal data information and can even damage an android system. Malware is very dangerous, because it is very difficult to detect by the system at work, so it is very possible to do is analyze the related activities of the malware. Trojan.Android.GMobi is one type of malware that is dangerous because of its ability to steal user and device data and send it back to the host server. Malware analysis is needed to learn how malware works as a form of resistance to the development of increasingly dangerous types of malware. It is therefore necessary technique to learn how malware works. The concept of research used in this study using reverse engineering techniques in the form of static and dynamic analysis by dismantling the apk file structure and analyze the source code of the application to find out what malware malicious code contained in the application. Once found out how the mechanism of static malware work, the next is to analyze malware dynamically which will be analyzed evidence of malware crime by studying malware activities in virtual environments intended to find out how malware gives effect to infected devices, the effect on the system and any data that successfully stolen. From the results of this study is expected to answer how the mechanism of malware work on android and find out what impact arising from malware damage on android devices.
