Abstract

Rice is an important food crop for Indonesian people. Increased demand for rice is required because the Indonesian population will experience a population increase of around 1.27 to 1.29% per year. The technology of planting systems and rice varieties is expected to increase rice production. This study aimed to find out the effect of the modification of the 2: 1 legowo double rowing system on the growth and yield of rice plants, to find out the effect of growth and yield of three rice varieties, and to find out the interaction of modification of 2: 1 legowo double rowing planting system on the growth and yield of three rice varieties. The research design used was the Split Plot Design with two treatments, namely the planting system and variety. The main plot consists of Mekongga Varieties (V1), Inpari 30 Ciherang Sub-1 (V2), Inpari 32 HDB (V3). The subplot consisted of 2: 1 Legowo planting system (J1), double Jarwo 1 (J2), double Jarwo 2 (J3), 2: 1 legowo planting system modification (J4). Modification treatment of 2: 1 system significantly affected the growth variables and yield component variables. Growth variables showed that the modified point of 2: 1 legowo planting system obtained good results, especially in the variable number of tillers per square meter resulting in 1600 tillers /, then in the component variables the results of all modifications to 2: 1 legowo planting system obtained the same good results , so that the harvest yield of milled dry grains was balanced. Variety treatment had a significant effect on growth variables and yield component variables. Growth variables showed that 32 HDB inpari varieties obtained good results, especially in the variable number of tillers per square meter of 32 HDB inpari varieties resulting in 964.6 tillers /, then inpari 32 HDB varieties also obtained good results on the yield component variables, especially on variables the harvest of milled dry grains of 9349 kg / ha MPD. The treatment of the interaction of varieties and planting systems had a significant effect on the growth variables and the yield component variables. Growth variables showed that V3J4 yielded good results, especially in the variable number of tillers per square meter which was 1969.7 tillers /, then the V3J4 interaction obtained good results on the yield component variables, especially on the variable yield of milled dry grains of 9846 kg / ha MPD.
