Abstract

Conventional agricultural activities that only prioritize maximum yields using chemicals in form of fertilizer and pesticides continuously result quality decrease of the environment of fertile soil, clean air, and natural ecosystems and reduce productivity of crop yields. It aimed to figure out effects of biological organic fertilizer towards some various dosage of NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Pottasium) fertilizer towards growth of Brown Mustard (Brassica juncea L.). This study used a Complete Randomized Design, which consisted of 2 treatment factors namely concentration of POH and the dose of NPK 25: 7: 7. The concentration factor of POH consists of 3 levels, namely; P1: POH 20 ml / liter of water, P2: POH 30 ml / liter of water and P3: POH 40 ml / liter of water, while the dose of NPK 25: 7: 7 consists of 5 levels namely; D1 without NPK fertilizer, D2 : NPK Mutiara (25:7:7) 0.87 g/polybag, D3 : NPK Mutiara (25:7:7) 1.75 g/polybag, D4 : NPK Mutiara (25:7:7) 2.62 g/polybag, and D5 : NPK Mutiara (25:7:7) 3.5 g/Polybag. Each treatment was repeated 3 times. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, eaf area, weight of fresh plant, brangkasan (all parts of the crops except its roots), dry weight of brangkasan, weight of fresh roots, and weight of dry roots. The results of this research indicates that concentration of biological organic fertilizer (POH) had no significant effect on all observation variables. The dosage of NPK fertilizer (Pearl 25: 7: 7) had no significant effect on all observation variables. The interaction of POH biological organic fertilizer concentration and NPK fertilizer dose (Pearl 25: 7: 7) did not significantly affect all observation variables.
