Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of price, brand image and word of mouth on buying interest. Population in this study is a student of Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. 95 students were taken as respondents to be used as research samples by using slovin formula. Data collection method used questionnaires by distributing them directly to students who have not bought an Acer laptop yet. Multiple linear regression analysis is used to prove hypothesis testing in this research. The results of this study showed that price, brand image and word of mouth has significant effect both partially and simultaneously on the buying interest. Of the three independent variables, the strongest influence is the variable of word of mouth, while the weakest influence is the brand image.
