Abstract

This research entitled ― Corruption Culture in Novel The Corruptor by Hario Kecik ‖ aims to describe about the configuration of corruption culture and the relation of configuration in corruption culture with research is the reality of configuration in corruption culture existing in The Corruptor Novel by Hario Kecik. The object of this research is the existence of corruption culture in Sang Koruptor novel by Hario Kecik. The approach of this research was sociological approach to literature. Literature sociology approach is an approach that analyzes human society, the process of understanding from society to the individual. This research was analyzed the life of the community though literature. The data of this research is in the from of text containing of the configuration in corruption culture. The source of this research is a Novel entitled The Corruptor by Hario Kecik. The results of this research of the corruption culture consist of form ideas include: (a) counterrevolutionary nature is a trait of antipathy or dislike with all forms of the struggle for the defense of the citizen, he is only concerned with his own happiness and his family members, (b) weakness of management system, which is related to the organizational structure, procedures, employee training, and supervision, (c) exsitence of conventional culture, which is a custom made by a group of people and preserved from one generation to the next, (d) environmental influences, namely someone to do corruption because it is influenced by environmental conditions, (e) corruption perception with safer partners, which is a thought which considers that corruption would be long secure funds when run with a friend. The action consists of: (a) doing a setting to make the family members free from many tasks, (b) making the family mambers to be accepted from work without doing the test, (c) doing corruption grouply, (d) bribing. The corruption done by the novel characters ―Sang Koruptor” can be categorized into 3 kinds of corruption, they are nepotistik, supportive, and transaktive. The last is in the form of things, such as: (a) richness, (b) position/ honor. Further manifestation of a culture of corruption that exists in the actual life associated with the novel that includesactions and objects. Action consists of: (a) giving preferential treatment to family members, (b) corruption in groups, (c) bribing. Then the object that is the result of corruption consists of: (a) wealth, in the form of money, home and other luxury items, (b) position/ honor, in the form of employment without testing and accelerated promotion.
