Abstract

Augmented Reality is a combination of the real world with the data produced by the computer augmented reality can also be used as a method of learning, for example, create a simulation for studying. Learning is a process of communication between students, teachers and teaching materials. According to some students sometimes learning using studies textbooks mainly IPS lesson cause bored even lazy to learn. Therefore, it will be made learning using augmented reality. The purpose of this application is to design and develop application-based simulation by using augmented reality. Technology for learning IPS material with example is volcanoes, convey useful information and learning about the process of erupting Mount Merapi volcano erupted with a simulation application, making learning to attract student interest. The method used in instructional media is literature, questionnaires, tests. Development of systems using MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) are making concept, design, collection of material, manufacture, testing and distribution.
