Abstract

This Research aims to determine: 1) the ability to connect mathematical achievement of students who take PBL with TPS strategy and students following PBL; 2) achievement of students who take PBL cooperation with TPS strategy and students following the PBL; 3) is the ability to connect mathematical achievements of students who take PBL with TPS strategy is better than the students who take PBL; 4) Are the achievements of students who take the PBL cooperation with TPS strategy is better than the students who take the PBL. The Research population was all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Ajibarang . sampling using cluster random sampling. In this research, one of the sampels used as an experimental class that follows PBL with TPS strategy, while others serve as sample of the control class that follows PBL . The design of this research post test only control class the data collection instrument design. Use problems post test and observation sheet. Data analysis used independent samples t-test to test the right side. The results of data analysis showed that the performance capabilities of mathematical connection and cooperation of students who take the PBL.
