Cost and time work become an important factor in considering the choice of
foundation apart from considerations soil bearing capacity and depth of the groundwater
table (MAT). Building construction work requires a strong structure and also efficient in
terms of the need for cost effective in time and work. This study aimed to analyze the cost
and time comparison between the work of the pile foundation and footplate with caisson
combination on the construction of five-story building. Cost and time of work analyzed
using the methods and coefficients of workers from the Indonesian National Standard
(SNI 739-2008). The number of workers equated to all the foundation work which were
drawn from a minimum number of workers required for the job pile foundation. From the
analysis, the cost for pile foundation was Rp 1,033,335,049.62 in 167 days of work. For
footplate foundation with caisson combination required a cost of Rp 860,476,416.43 in
268 days of work. Thus, the diffrence costs between the pile foundation and footplate
foundation with caisson combinations was Rp 172,858,633.19 and the time difference
was 101 days.
