The use of traditional medicine in the developing or developed countries
tend to be on the rise. According to the results of the compliance inspection Ways
of Making Traditional Medicine (CPOTB) shows a number of 46 (11.00%) means
of producing products that do not have a permission path. In the area of
Purwokerto is not yet available data about the image of traditional medicine on
the savory herbs and yet the existence of training and coaching business related
herbs of the region. This study aims to describe the savory herbal medicine
entrepreneur profiles include sex, age, education, and skills profile describes the
source of the use of the savory herbs are used. Research methods include
descriptive observational data retrieval techniques with guided interviews and
sampling techniques are accidental sampling. The result of the research was the
savory herbal medicine entrepreneur in the area of Purwokerto most is-sex male
(76%), aged 26-45 years (71%), the last high school educated (52%) and skills
independently (81%). (100%) of the respondents sell traditional medicinal herbs,
medicinal trasdisional types are often used based on complaints i.e. sciatic
rheumatism , as much as (100%), the shape of the material most often used is as
much powder (100%), the business of herbs of the region most (62%) didn't know
the legality of products sold, as much as (57%) do not use running water to wash
the equipment, all of the respondents added other ingredients in preparing
traditional medicines in the form of raw egg yolks, honey, beras kencur, wine
herbs, (57%) of respondents did not memperhtikan cleanliness of egg.
