Abstract

The research was aimed to: (1) observe students’ learning achievement for seventh graders SMP Negeri 2 Sokaraja in following problem-based-learning; (2) analyze students’ learning achievement for seventh graders SMP Negeri 2 Sokaraja in following direct learning; (3) coolect mathematical representative learning taught by problem-based-learning compared to direct learning. The population covered seventh graders SMP Negeri 2 Sokaraja, while the sample was taken by cluster random sampling. VII H as was taken as the experiment class, VII I was chosen as the control class and VII G was done as the trial post-test. The data which were collected was mathematical representataive skill, and the score was around 69.412 with the srudents obtaining score more than average was 19 students (44,1%) and mathematical representative skill for control class was 61.325 and the students obtaining score more than average 0,0025 with
