Abstract

The used research design was the Completely Randomized Design consisting of two factors. The first factor was growing media composition (M) consisting of M1 (charcoal husk), M2 (cocopeat), and M3 (charcoal husk and cocopeat 1:1). The second factor was liquid bio organic fertilizer (H) consisting of H0 (0 ml/l), H1 (10 ml/l), H2 (20 ml/l), and H3 (30 ml/l). The research result revealed that the growing media of charcoal husk and coco peat had a very significant effect on the variables of root dry weight and crown wet weight. Moreover, they also had a very significant effect on the variables of root wet weight, crown dry weight, leaf number, stem diameter, and leaf area. The most significant growing media compositions for kangkung darat's growth and yield was cocopeat media (M2). The liquid bio organic fertilizer concentration had a very significant effect on the variables of crown wet weight, crown dry weight, leaf number, and leaf area. Moreover, it also significantly affected the variables of stem diameter and plant height. The most significant liquid bio organic fertilizer concentration for growth and yield of Kangkung darat was the concentration of 30 ml/l (H3). There was an interaction between treatment of growing media and liquid bio organic fertilizer concentration on the variables of crown wet weight, crown dry weight, leaf number, and leaf area. The best combination was on the treatment of M2H3, i.e. the combination of coco peat growing media and bio organic fertilizer concentration of 30 ml/l. The obtain result are the crown wet weight of 1,70 g, the crown dry weight of 0.18 g, the leaf number of 8 leaves, and the leaf area of 2.54 cm2.
