Abstract

through Student Team- Achievement Division using podcast at Senior High School 1 Sidareja in academic year 2016/2017. This research used experimental design. The total of population of the research was 294 students and the respondent was 62 students. The students were divided into two classes, class XI Science 1 which consisted of 31 students as the experimental class and 31 students in XI science 2 as the control class. The treatment was conducted from May 15th 2017 to May 31st 2017. After that, the data was analysed using t-test computation to know the effectiveness of Student Team Achievement Division (STAD). The result was that the t-test (2.22) was higher than t-table (1.671) at d.f of 62 and the level of significance α = 0.05. besides that, the mean score of pretest and post-test for experimental class were 66.838 and 83.1, while score pre-test and post-test of control class were 67.35 and 74.7, and the deviation score of experimental class and control class were 16.645 and 12.258. It could be concluded that Student Team- Achievement Dicision using podcast was effective for teaching listening of Senior Highr School 1 Sidareja in academic year 2016/2017.
