Abstract

This study aimed to figure out the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer made of the best salak waste to the growth and results of lettuce, the best type of growing media, and interaction of two treatments. The study was conducted in Karangsoka sub-district of Banyumas regency which was located at an altitude of about 80 meters above sea level. The study was conducted fot two months from January 2017 to February 2017. This study aplplied factorial random complete design with 2 factors repeated 3 times. Those factors were fertilizer concentration (P), and growing media (M). Factor (P) included (P0) liquid fertilizer comcentration 0 ml/l, (P1) liquid fertilizer concentration 50 ml/l, (P2) liquid fertilizer concentration 100 ml/l, (P3) liquid fertilizer concentration of 150 ml/l. Factor (M) included (M1) growing media of charcoal husk, (M2) growing media of cocopeat, (M3) mixture of charcoal husk and cocopeat. The results of this research showed a real effect to some observation variables such as plant height, leaf number, fresh weight of plants and dry weight of plants. The best results were obtained at P3M1 treatment, with 15,73 cm height, 6 leaves, 2,78 g of fres plant weight, and 0,26 g of dry weight.
