Abstract

This descriptive qualitative research aimed to describe student's mathematical creative thinking skill viewed from learning achievement on the eight grade of SMP Negeri 1 Kedungbanteng Academic year 2016/2017 . The data analysis technique of Miles and Huberman model which included data reduction, data display, and conclusion was used to analyze the data. The samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. There were three subjects in this research for each group of high, medium, and low learning achievement. The instruments in this research were mathematical creative thinking skill test and interviewe guidelines. The data validation test was triangulation technique test. The results show that students with high learning achievement are able to master four indicators of mathematical creative thinking skill which are thinking smoothly, flexibly, originally, and in detailed. Students with fair learning achievement are able to master two indicators which are think smoothly and think flexibly, while students with low learning achievement are only able to master one indicator which is think flexibly.
