Abstract

This study aims to describe the social values in the book Folklore Nusantara Sambangsari Sumbi work and its relevance in learning Indonesian for middle school students of VII. Object of this study is the book Folklore Sumbi Sambangsari Nusantara works. The research focused on social values contained in 10 folklore is the source of research data. Data were analyzed by qualitative descriptive technical. Here are 10 stories of the people who studied the Si Pitung Stud Betawi from Jakarta, Sultan Domas Kind of Lampung, The Story of the Golden Conch from East Java, Prince Lanang Dangiran of East Java, Joko Tole of East Java, West Kalimantan Gold from Watermelon , monkey Kasarung of West Java, Central Java Cindelaras of, The Origin of Wetlands of Central Java Dizziness, Promises A Wise King of the South Kalimantan. Here is the writing that describes a systematic study. First introductory chapter in which explains the background of this research was conducted, limit the problem, formulation of the problem, objectives, benefits derived from systematic research and writing. The second chapter contains a theoretical basis in it describes the theories that support the cover story of the people, social value and relevance in learning Indonesian for middle school students of VII. The third chapter the research methodology, this chapter describes the object of research, research approach, research methods, and writing steps undertaken in conducting this research. The fourth chapter the results of research and discussion within which describes the results obtained are: (1) social values found in the book Folklore archipelago that is polite, friendly, helpful, kind, compassionate, discreet, and so forth . (2) relevance of social values in students learning Indonesian middle class VII. The fifth chapter describes the inside cover of the conclusions and recommendations obtained by investigators after research.
