Abstract

The aim of the research was to find out the effectiveness of E-Compusoft Learning Media in teaching English Pronunciation. This research used Quasi Experimental method in which the sample was based on the school policy. Two classes were chosen that are VIII D class as an Experimental Class which was received a treatment of learning process by using English E-Compusoft as media, and VIII A class as a control class that was not received an English E-Compusoft as media of teaching treatment and the result was compared to experimental class. Pre-test and Post-test were used to find the data. The test consists of 10 items for each test. T-test formula was used to analyze the data. The result of the research showed that there was a significant difference of the students‟ ability in pronouncing the words. It could be seen on the result of computation of t-test, where t-test was 2.227 and t-table was 1.6698 at the significant level a=0.05 in d.f=62. So, the result was higher than t-table (2.227>1,6698). It means that the hypothesis about teaching English Pronunciation using E-Compusoft Learning on second grade students of SMP N 5 Purwokerto is effective.
