Abstract

The Effectiveness of Circle Game for Teaching English Vocabulary An Experimental Study of MTs Ma’arif NU 1 Jatilawang at VII Grade Students in the Academic Year 2015/2016 By Efa Nurhayati 1001050024 The aim of this study was to find out the effectiveness of circle game in teaching English vocabulary at the seventh grade students of MTs Ma‟rif NU 1 Jatilawang in academic year 2015/2016. The study was conducted by using quasi experimental. These participants of this study were the seventh grade of MTs Ma‟arif NU 1 Jatilawang. There were two classes by which class D was used as the experimental class and class E was used as the control class. Test was used in collecting the data of this study namely pre test and post test. The test consisted of multiple choices. Based on the computation, t test result was 2.354 and the result of r table at the significant level 1.670 with the degree of freedom 62 was. The calculation of t-test with t-table was concluded that t-test was higher than t-table (2354>1.670). Based on the study result, it is showed that Circle Game was effective for teaching vocabulary at the seventh grade of MTs Ma‟arif NU 1 Jatilawang in academic year 2015/2016.
