Abstract

This research was aimed at knowing the production difference from the cultifation of Pleurotus Ostreatus (White Oyster Mushroom). The method used was experimental research. The technique of collecting data observation. The population of this research was 25 cultivation locations of White Oyster Mushroom in Banyumas Regency. Two cultivation locations with different altitude (Desa Pajerukan and Desa Karangrau) were chosen to be the samples by using purposive sampling technique. The technique of data analysis wae Two Tailed Test by differentiating the altitude of the cultivation locations. The research disclosed the significant production difference of White Oyster Mushroom in the different altitude. The cultivation in Desa Pajerukan Kecamatan Kalibagor with 127 meters altitude above the sea level in one cycle of production (23 days) produced 15.86 kilograms, and the cultivation in Desa Karangrau Kecamatan Banyumas with 495 meters altitude above sea level in one cycle of production (23 days) could yield 18.23 kilograms of white oyster mushroom.
