Abstract

Improving the quality of education is constantly done, both conventionaly and innovatively. In educational reform, the main issue that need to be highlighted is the curriculum. and one of the implemented curriculum is KTSP. In KTSP, the ability of English teachers is crucial in developing its curriculum. Therefore, the English teachers’ perception about the implementation of KTSP need to reveal. The aim of the research was to find out English teachers’ perception on the implementation of KTSP. The research was carried out in July 2016 at State Junior High Schools in Bukateja. The subjects were 12 English teachers. The research was descriptive and the instrument used was closed questionnare. The result revealed that English teachers had positively perception on the implementation of KTSP. The results were as follow; in The Basic Concept and Scope of KTS 68 % teachers agreed; in The Learning Process 75 % agreed; and in The Assessment System in KTSP 75 % teachers’ agreed.
