Abstract

This research was designed to find out factors contributing to students’ EPT result. The research involved all of the 3rd semester students of English Education Department in Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto as the sample. The data has gained by using structured questionnaire which consisted of 41 items and semi structured interview which consisted of 11 items. The research finding from the questionnaire showed the factors that contribute to students’ EPT result were anxiety 68.80%, academic competence 60.70%, teacher role 56.10% and learning facility 57.30%. Moreover, this study was also supported by the interview result that almost all of the interviewees have the same thought with questionnaire result.
